As a first time homebuyer looking for a home, I was concerned about finding something that was affordable and able to meet my needs. I was hoping to find a home that did not need a lot of work, but was still in my price range. As I began my search with Scott Ortolano, my Buyers Home Store realtor, with The Ortolano Team, we looked at a lot of short sale homes due to the lower prices. Unfortunately, many of the homes were in terrible shape. They needed a lot of work and were filthy! It made my search a little discouraging and I was beginning to wonder if I would be able to find a home that didn’t need so much repairs.

After a few weeks of looking at short sale homes, Scott found a great deal on a brand new home that he insisted I look at. I was initially skeptical, because I was pretty sure that a new home would not fall within my price range. When I went to look at the home, it was beautiful! It had everything I was looking for in a home and, it was just built a few months prior. The best part of it all was that the monthly mortgage payments for the home were in my exact price range. I got a brand new home, no repairs needed, amazing upgrades included in the home, and I am paying the same as I would if I would have gone with one of the sad short sale homes. Great deal!!! I couldn’t have asked for anything better :).
